ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Lauren Calarco, and I am an illustrator and designer. I have always had an immense passion for toys and through the years have developed a love for designing them! On the other hand, I also enjoy creating detailed illustrations for anything from books to characters, drawing much of my inspiration from fantasy, classical myths and tales, and history. I have always been inclined to create pieces that have a story, so I enjoy weaving narratives and deeper meaning into each illustration. I work to craft visually captivating illustrations that also translate seamlessly into engaging toy designs that blend art and play together. I wish to leave everyone who views my work with an everlasting love for creation. I am currently a senior at the University of Kansas and graduate in May 2024 with a BFA in Illustration and Animation and a minor in Art History.
